The first phase of steel cold rolling mill main drives modernisation in Colombia has been succesfully finished. The challenge of this step-wise project was to change the old DC motors and drives to a new more efficient and energy saving AC solution with AFE rectifier units while keeping temporarily the remain DC motors avoiding to affect the productivity of the mill.
